Now Hiring: Safety Training Coordinator
The Safety Coordinator’s responsibilities include supporting the planning and implementation of workplace safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other federal and state regulations. This role works across all levels of the warehouse to maintain a safe work environment, help prevent injuries, and promote a strong safety culture under the guidance of the Safety Manager.
-Must be able to work in a cold and wet environment (34 degrees).

Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Shift: Inquire about shift availability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Assist in Planning and Implementing OSHA policies and programs
-Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics
-Assist in Preparing educational safety toolbox talks on a regular basis
-Review existing policies and procedures with the Safety Manager, Bi-Annually
-Lead by example and adhere to all safety rules and regulations
-Collaborate with Safety Manager to set up new employee on-boarding process for safety
-Conduct risk assessments
-Collaborate with Safety Manager to enforce preventative measures
-Assist in Identifying process bottlenecks and offer timely solutions
-Observe and Check if all the employees are acting in adherence with Safety rules and regulations
-Assist in preparing reports on accidents and violations and determine causes
-Oversee Safety committee and report employees’ safety concerns
-Assist and follow-up on all safety related repairs
-Assist with time sensitive filing of Work Related Injuries through First Report
-Assist with Safety Training (initial, annual and job transfer)
-Share information, suggestions, and observations with leadership to create consistency in safety
-Assist in investigating causes of accidents and other unsafe conditions on the job

Job Requirements:
-Working knowledge of Safety and Environmental legislations and procedures
-Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practice
-3+years of experience in producing reports
Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety
-Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
-Proficient in MS Office
-Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms
-Working knowledge of safety management information systems
-Outstanding organizational skills
-Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
-Team player
-Good time-management skills
-Superior interpersonal and communication skills (Bi-lingual – English/Spanish)
-Certificate in occupational health and safety (OSHA 10, 30 AND 40)
-Ability to work a flexible schedule, as needed
-Other tasks assigned by Safety Manager

Bonus Eligibility:
