About the Role:
The Maintenance Parts Clerk is responsible for managing, organizing, and issuing maintenance parts and supplies to support the daily operations of the Industrial Maintenance Department. This role ensures accurate inventory control, timely availability of critical spare parts, and proper documentation to minimize equipment downtime and support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

Pay Range: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shift: Inquire about shift availability
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Receive, inspect, and stock maintenance parts, tools, and supplies
-Issue parts to maintenance technicians and document usage accurately
-Maintain inventory levels and ensure critical spare parts are always available
-Monitor inventory min/max levels and initiate purchase requests or reorders
-Track parts usage by work order and assist with proper work order documentation
-Coordinate with purchasing and vendors to ensure timely delivery of parts
-Maintain accurate inventory records in CMMS or inventory management systems
-Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits
-Identify obsolete, slow-moving, or critical parts and report findings to management
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts room and storage areas
-Assist with equipment manuals, spare parts lists, and documentation
-Support maintenance planning and PM activities by staging parts in advance
-Follow all safety, food safety (if applicable), and company policies
Job Requirements:
-High school diploma or GED required
-1 to 3 years of warehouse, storeroom, or industrial experience preferred
-Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic parts
-Experience with CMMS, inventory, or ERP systems preferred
-Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
-Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
-Basic computer skills (Excel, email, inventory systems)
-Forklift certification and preventive maintenance knowledge preferred
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment with standing, walking, bending, and reaching
